It's hard to be sure of the silver content of the vintage inlaid beads. They did polish up nicely. The necklace finally came together after the beads sat in my stash for years. Judy Hall quotes Goethe, "[Carnelian] brings good luck to child and man and drives away all evil things. To thee and thine protection brings." She also says that legends indicated the Prophet Mohammed wore a Carnelian mounted in silver. The Guardian of Carnelian is quoted as saying, "...when Carnelian is worn, negative emotions are either dulled, dissipated, or cancelled out..." Hope you enjoy this set!
