These pretty matte-finish stones make lovely earrings. Little beaded vines add movement and sparkle.
I searched in vain for information on these stones. Google insisted I must mean "waters edge." There is a plant, Carex aquatilis, with the common name of "water sedge," one of a large group of sedges. The plant has pretty spikes and long slender leaves, so perhaps whoever named it saw water sedges in the design. Jasper, a form of chalcedony, occurs in a seemingly limitless array of colors and patterns, and here is yet another example.
