No, the photo is not in black and white, the composition is. The fossil coral in matrix is polished on the back where it was sliced off (you can see it through the hole in the back of the bezel) but left in its natural state on the top, a curiously rounded little cosmos with bumpy coral galaxies. The fabulous moonstone crystals were chosen for their greys, whites and blacks, they have little play of color. Sherry's lovely glass beads complement the centerpiece perfectly. The extension has some interesting beads the vendor assured me were "natural quartz." Sorry, I don't believe it, but they're very pretty whatever they are, clear with sparkles all through them. I do hope you will order this piece to enjoy on winter days! LOVE BEADS: This piece includes "love beads," beads given to me after the fire by friends and strangers. The necklace carries the energy of their loving concern. |
