This lovely agate retains its natural shape at the bottom of the piece as well as a natural hole at the top and opening at the side. A gold-filled backing holds it. The back is cut out to allow light through the translucent stone. The fringe is attached to a wire on the back, and gourd stitch covers the fringe attachment to finish the back neatly. I hope you will click on the image to see a better picture of the stone itself. It is a beautiful swirling composite of milky agate with golden clouds and shiny dark grey marcasite. The colors are quite unusual, but soft and neutral. The stones in the needle-woven necklace echo the materials and colors in the stone. The necklace is signed with the Virgo Moon logo and dated.
