The artist named this intriguing figure "Goddess of the Air," and added the bird to represent the element air. She left holes in the figure so I could add a necklace and tassel, however I think she expected the goddess to sit at the center of the necklace. I can never make things the way I'm expected to, I wanted this lovely lady to sit on the side. There are two reasons for this: to me it strengthens the design; and secondly when a large element like this hangs at the bottom of a long necklace it can swing rather dangerously. I prefer to have her cuddle up close, so was left with the problem of how to make that work. To solve the problem, I made her a beaded dress, as you can see in the detailed photo, and attached the necklace to the back of it. I hope you will purchase this unique goddess and wear her with pleasure. |
