Idaho plume agate from this unhappily named Graveyard Point site is well known for its translucence and plumes of yummy soft colors. This gorgeous little agate has an opening filled with drusy (minute crystals). The little black signature in the lower right is a natural feature. The bezel back is open to let in as much light as possible; the bezel is made of gallery wire which adds a pretty edge and again lets light through. The necklace includes a variety of shapes, textures and materials. The wide variety of pearls (including keshi, double keshi, circle of love, etc.) makes it lusciously rich. It can be worn at different lengths by hooking into the different rings. The three strands can be braided or unbraided as you choose. By the way, do you know you can braid necklaces like this yourself? Start at the centerpiece, braid the three strands just like hair, and GENTLY let the far end do what it wants. It will untangle itself by flipping over and over. When you finish, you'll have a nicely braided piece! You can try it yourself just by ordering this piece! |
