Admit it, you came to this page for the tie dye!* But now that you're here, perhaps you will take a look at this hand-hammered Quartz necklace. Big chunks of water-clear Quartz have been textured by hand to look like cracked ice. They were likely lightly tumbled since they have a smooth finish and will not snag clothing. Pale carved amethysts are interspersed to add a little color. It is all about the beautiful stones and would be perfect with winter white, spring colors and tie dye.

Michael Katz quotes the Guardian of Quartz as saying, "To understand Quartz and other gemstones... you must understand that all crystals are alive..." The chiseled surface of these stones makes them lively indeed, reflecting flashes of light and color. Melody says that Quartz is said to "bring the energy of the stars into the soul." She also notes that Amethyst (Quartz with a bit of Manganese and Iron) is a stone of spirituality and contentment.
