This piece was a special order. My customer asked if I would be willing to work with Kia's pendant and the brass beads she had that complemented it so perfectly. Of course! She likes complex, rich compositions, she is especially fond of fossils and unusual objects. I made the specimen setting to resemble a jellyfish to reflect the marine theme of the gastropod, the copper shell, the Indonesian fossil coral, the abalone and the little fossil turtle. You can see from the photo of the back of the setting that the element serves as a spacer for the multiple strands. Rollover the top photo to see a key describing the various components.
