This necklace features a highly irregular mabe pearl. For some reason it reminds me of the sea, of a romantic sailing ship, so I named the piece 'Wedding Voyage.' I found the hard-edged oval shape jarring with the flowing image in the shell, so I captured it in a net of charlottes, with tiny second generation pearls all around to soften the edge. |
