This neckpiece stands up on the neck, almost like a turtleneck collar (unlike #54 which lies flat). The soft cottons and silks feel comfortable.

The centerpiece is a beautifully carved fragment of fossil ivory, with the natural colors enhancing the fish. It is polished to a high luster.

A vast array of materials keeps the fish company: shells and pearls from his domain, also old and new glass and stone beads, old coins, all sorts of things.

The effect from a distance is of a luscious bit of color at the neck. The closer you get to it, the richer it becomes as you start to see all the details.

The closure is sewn on, so the length can be adjusted easily.
